Apartments in Tetuán

We were commissioned to design and carry out the complete renovation of four apartments intended for the rental market, located on Calle Castilla in the Tetuán district of Madrid. The challenge was to transform an existing building into functional, light-filled homes with a distinctive architectural identity, making the most of the available resources.

The intervention celebrated the building's original architecture by restoring the exposed brick walls and, in one of the apartments, revealing the original timber roof structure. These features were combined with exposed services to enhance the industrial character of the interiors, creating brighter, more spacious and distinctive living spaces. The new layouts integrated the kitchens with the living areas, resulting in open, functional homes designed to appeal to today's rental market.

The result is four contemporary homes where rehabilitation, design and sustainability demonstrate that the value of architecture is not defined by the budget, but by intelligent design, the thoughtful use of space and excellence in construction.
