Cerceda Apartment Renovation

We were commissioned to design and carry out the renovation of this second home located in the Sierra de Madrid. The main challenge was to adapt a two-bedroom apartment to meet the needs of a family with two teenage children, making the most of the available space while preserving natural light and a sense of openness.

The most significant intervention involved incorporating one of the terraces into an existing bedroom to create two independent spaces. A lightweight partition combined with plasterboard slatted panels was used to divide the room, allowing natural light to flow through while providing each space with privacy, independent lighting and its own electrical installations.

The renovation was completed with the full refurbishment of the bathroom, the replacement of the flooring and a series of targeted improvements throughout the rest of the apartment. The result is a functional, bright and carefully designed home that demonstrates how thoughtful architectural solutions can completely transform the way a space is lived in.
